Holiday Gas Prices
The other day when listening to a news report on
the rising price of gasoline, I thought to myself that it certainly looks suspicious that prices
begin to peak near the time when people will be doing a lot of traveling, and they will need
to buy a lot of it. That will certainly maximize profits for the oil companies. I wondered
how they could engineer such a price rise, holiday after holiday, and keep getting away
with it.
But on the next in-breath I could see that this
idea that price increases are engineered during peak usage times, is an illusion. Outer
circumstances generate the illusion to be sure. But if we just focus on the free market
mechanisms which operate behind the scenes, the price increases can be easily explained
by normal market forces.
How so?
Gasoline wholesalers track demand over
the years. They do this because they want to be prepared.
First, they want to make
sure that they don't have too much gasoline in their inventory. Too much inventory
means capital expended for which they will not be able to earn a return. If they have
too much inventory, they will be forced to sell it off at a price lower than they bought
it, and that means they will lose money.
Second, they want to make sure that their
gasoline inventories will be sufficient to meet demand especially during times when
the public will want more gasoline. If they have too little inventory on hand during
times of peak demand, that means they will lose sales opportunities.
What the wholesalers are trying to do is
control their inventory to meet demand, whether the demand is high, or low. When
demand will be low, they want their inventories to be low.
When demand will be high they want their inventories to be high. The more
accurately they can predict demand, the more closely they can control their
inventory, and that means more profits on the bottom line at the end of the
year.
When they can predict that demand
will be high, like the Memorial Day weekend for example (and they know demand
will be high during this time period, because again, they keep records), all gasoline
wholesalers will try to prepare for that. And they will start to prepare for that in
the weeks leading up to the holiday. They want to have enough gasoline on hand
that can flow out to all of their distributors in the quantities necessary to meet this
higher demand. What that means is that all wholesalers will be asking the
manufacturers, the gasoline refineries, for more gasoline during this time.
The key point here is that the supply of
gasoline is limited. Refineries can only produce so much. And I believe we are in
a situation where U.S. refinery capacity is maxed out just trying to meet demand
during normal business days. And when refineries have to go off line for repairs
or maintenance, that makes matters even worse during times of higher demand.
Another thing to consider, when thinking
about the overall supply situation, is the amount of time that has passed since we
have seen any new refining capacity added to the equation. When was the last time
a new gasoline refinery was built in the United States? It has been a very long time.
They are hugely expensive, and environmental regulations mitigate against any
new construction in that area. Consider this, as you consider that the use of
gasoline rises as the economy grows, and our economy is always growing,
always more cars on the road year after year. And with no new refining
capacity built, you can see how the demand will increasingly gobble up
the supply, and this will constantly build pressure towards rising prices.
All of this taken together, means that
during times of high demand, the demands of all wholesalers cannot be met, and
that produces a situation wherein demand will outstrip supply the more, and in that
situation, the supply will go to the highest bidder. The wholesalers then bid up the
price they are willing to pay so that they will have enough to meet demand. And
when the wholesalers have to pay a higher price, then that higher price is passed
on to their distributers, the retail gas stations, which then pass on the higher price
to the consumer.
When major gas using regions
bid up the price of wholesale gasoline, that means that all distributors
will have to face these higher prices, even if their particular stations
will not have a historically greater need for gasoline during this time.
Once the holiday is over, and
the demand goes down, you will see the retail prices slowly drop down
again, because the overall demand will be well within the supply,
wherein refineries must lower prices to move inventory.
But of course, the summer
time, overall, is a time of much greater demand for gasoline, as this
is when people are taking their vacations, and driving from here to
there, much more than during autumn, winter or spring, and let us
not forget the Fourth of July holiday, which is just around the
corner, when demand will see another peak.
For those who need to travel
extensively during these times, they should consider installing a large
gas storage tank in their back yard, and having it filled during the time
when gas prices are the lowest. And then, when they take their trip,
all they need to do is to have a little trailer that carries four or five
fifty gallon drums of gasoline along with them, and they can fill up
at their leisure at the lowest possible price. But then again, when
you sit down to figure out how much that would cost, to have such
a tank installed in your back yard, and the cost of trailer and the
gasoline storage drums that you would take with you on your trip,
I think that you would have to come to the conclusion, that even
at the higher prices charged for gasoline during times of high
demand, that you would still be saving money if you just pulled
into a gas station when needed. The free market, when all things
are considered, really does produce the lowest costs and highest
efficiencies for the most people.
Now, if you really want to do
something practical about high gas prices, something that would lower
gas prices for everyone, this is what you can do. Design a brand new
and modern gasoline refinery, using the latest technology, that would
make it the most efficient refinery on the planet. Find a group of
venture capitalists who will want to invest their money in it. Locate
property close to three ports where oil is imported, and build three
of these brand new refineries. Then flood the market with a new
supply of gasoline, at a cheaper price than any other refinery can
sell it for.
You will need a lot of oil
to supply your refineries. Oil, by the way, operates under the same
kind of supply and demand mechanisms. If supply is limited, and it
is limited, to supply your refineries, you could well be a factor in
bidding up the price of crude oil for everyone! And because you
have to pay a higher price for the oil to supply these new refineries,
one might well wonder if it is possible to produce gasoline at a
lower cost than what we are seeing today.
Let's suppose you can do
it. But remember this. Your venture capitalists want to see a return
on their investment. Several billion dollars worth I imagine they are
into this for. And they will constantly press to keep prices as high
as possible, so that profits can be kept as high as possible, so that
the stock of the company can be valued as high as possible, so they
can foresee a day, either through dividends, or stock sales, when they
will be able to recoup their investments, and actually make a profit
on those investments.
All of this is practically
academic. When the karma of abortion falls on this nation, economic
activity will fall way back, demand for gasoline will fall way back as
the economy contracts, and assuming that the gasoline refineries are
still operating, they might well have oceans of gas and too few
people to sell it to. And then prices will fall into the weeds.

Elizabeth Clare Prophet Tells us
What Has Happened to her Son

I received in my email a very interesting
statement made by Elizabeth Clare Prophet in August of 1979, and I thought it
would be useful to set it forth here on a more permanent basis. In this statement
she is telling us what has happened to her son Sean. There is a certain amount
of irony in this statement, in as much as she probably did not understand that
she was telling us about Sean at the time.
It is true, of course, that we all have to
deal with these momentums, where various aspects of our mental and emotional
bodies have taken on the stain of the not-self.
Actually, I am sharing this with you today,
because the memory of what was said in this statement actually provided an
important assist to me this morning, when circumstances pushed me into
one of those little compartments. Indeed a compartment that had me completely
turning my back on the Spirit of Victory. Because this statement came to my
memory, I could say to myself, O that is indeed the not-self, which gave
me the freedom to turn my back on IT, and go immediately into the affirmation
of God-Victory. A very useful statement this is, in this respect, spoken out of the
Mantle of the Messenger, which has the power to penetrate into our conscious
minds to help us divide the real from the unreal.

On how the intellect usurps
the position of the soul
The outer person can
appear totally normal
"On the action of the sacred fire to cast out devils, Sanat Kumara explains that souls may have had extremely painful
confrontations in past embodiments, which they were not always able to meet. Consequently their souls receded into the subconscious.
It is very easy for a soul, given the mechanization of our civilization to do this. Why? Because our education, TV and media
are
primarily concerned with training the outer mind, or the mental body, which becomes the carnal mind, or the intellect.
There is not much stimulus for soul development. The soul can go into its sleep, its self-hypnosis, or even into a state like a
coma, and the outer person can function and appear to be totally normal. When I look at the auras of people in our government today, I see that they are considered to
be powerful. They have discipline, intelligence and the capacity to run departments and so forth, but I see that they are running totally on their mental bodies, not by
contact with the flame, not by contact with their God-source. Their soul is not even a participant in what they are doing.
I realized that a carnal mind able to reach such levels of ability is always vulnerable by those fallen ones. Whenever the fallen
ones desire to wreak havoc, they may influence these carnal-minded ones to decide to destroy an economy, a nation or a people. A lot of people who hold the destiny
of
this state and nation in their hands have no contact with the living Word. In the absence of that contact, by the lives they lead and the human patterns you are well
aware of, they are invariably surrounded by and filled with all sorts of discarnates and demons.
There, when Isaiah wrote, "The government shall be upon his shoulder," he was prophesying the triumph of the Christ in the
individual person, the raising up of that Christ, such that the Christ was governing the individual and later the community. We do not see this in America today, and
that is why we are losing this nation and losing our opportunity to be an example to the world of the true teachings of the living Christ. We are losing it fast, and if we
don't individually give accounting, we are going to see that the Ascended Masters and the Great White Brotherhood will have to figure out how to start all over again.
It has taken over two hundred years to bring to this moment a people, this nation, to their destiny and calling of freedom. The
calling of freedom is the calling of the Holy Spirit, the calling for wholeness. America will not be whole and neither will you until the Holy Ghost comes into your
temple. The Holy Ghost will not come into your temple until, in the name of the Son of God, you cast out the invading entities.
Sanat Kumara says that many of the entities are comfortable where they are. They are similar to the person's personality.
They
imitate in gray tones the soul's own identity. And if the soul has receded into the subconscious, these entities are simply part and parcel of the functioning intellectual
mind. Thus the identity, in this case actually the id itself, the pseudo-self or the mental body, considers itself to be the real self.
That is the equation you face when you preach the Word, and it is why the Word is preached and not merely taught. I learned
an appreciation for preaching the Word when I received these dictations from Sanat Kumara. By preaching the Word, you are supposed to transfer the Holy Ghost.
And
the power of the Holy Ghost is able to reach down into the subconscious, awaken that soul and wrestle with it if it gets feisty and says, "Don't wake me up." Then the
Holy Spirit draws it forth and brings it to the inner temple of the heart and places the hand of that soul in the hand of its Christ Self and protects that alchemical
marriage until the soul is strong enough to maintain its own contact with its inner Christ Self.
The Ascended Masters are the true shepherds of the people. They come to guard that process and bind the hoards of entities
preventing the individual from contacting his own free will. People are not in possession of their free will when they murder, lie, cheat, steal and indulge themselves,
rebelling against God or church or religion in some form. That is not the free will of the soul. That is the free will of a wrongly educated carnal mind that is
functioning
with all kinds of discarnates."

The Glowing Lizard
On my way down the slope of Rainbow Hill, heading home,
this lizard was scampering in front of me down the trail, as if it were asking me to take its picture. Usually
they scurry off the trail to the right, or to the left, and into the bushes. But this one was just going down
the trail in front of me and stopping, and when I approached, he would move down the trail a little bit
more and stop. So I stopped to take his picture. This one is very unusual I think, because his markings
make it appear that his body is glowing from the inside with a yellow tinted light. See if you don't agree.
It is really funny when they stop and look at you, and
you wonder if the picture inside of his little brain is as a complete a picture (of us) as we are seeing
in ours (of him).
I believe that the Masters teach that lizards are
entrapped elementals, of the (spiritual) fire type, which they refer to generically as salamanders,
not to be confused with the physical creatures that are actual known as salamanders, which I
think live in swamp environments, which you might be interested in knowing, have the ability
to regrow whole limbs if they are lost. At any rate, according to what the Masters teach, if
I am remembering this correctly, the fire elementals were imprisoned by black magicians
into the form you see them here (many millions of years ago). And I like to use them as
a symbol for what the black magicians have done to Sean Prophet whom they have imprisoned
in a mental body that does not look anything like the mental body he had before he put his
own foot into the trap, or both feet as the case might be.
