     This is a very simple equation. You must put yourself in the shoes of those leaders who are responsible for the survival of the nation, and the people of Israel.

     What the leaders of Israel see, is a monster looming on their horizon which has stated its desire to smash the nation and the people of Israel. That monster is the Islamic Revolution of Iran, one of the darkest hatred driven totalitarian regimes the planet has yet seen. And they must ask this immediate question. Can the monster do what it says it wants to do? Does it have the capability to smash Israel? The answer at present is NO.

     At present that monster can only speak about its lusts for destruction of the children of Israel. But in that regard, things are changing.

     The Islamic Revolutionary monster has devoted all of its industrial know-how to the creation of a nuclear sledge hammer. And so these additional questions are presented to those who are responsible for the survival of Israel, first, can the Islamic Revolutionary Monster succeed in creating that nuclear sledge hammer? and second, if they succeed in creating it, will they use it?

     The answer to the first question is yes, clearly they are on the path towards the successful creation of that nuclear sledge hammer. And then, the answer to the second question becomes all-important: once they have it, will they use it? Given the black and evil heart of the Islamic Revolutionary Regime there is no credible reason to hope for mercy at their hands.

     Those who are responsible for the survival of Israel must deal with this situation in the most responsible manner, and that is, to assume that the sledge hammer will be used, once it is acquired.

     And this is important to comprehend, and the leaders of Israel know it to be true, that because of the smallness of the nation of Israel itself, one sledge hammer hit would effectively destroy all chance of survival. One sledge hammer hit would mean death to the nation. And therefore, the question of survival hinges on the ability of Israel to destroy the sledge hammer before it can be completed, before it can be used. Very simple. If the Islamic Revolutionary Monster in Iran will not stop building that sledge hammer, the Israeli's must do everything in their power, and they will do everything in their power, to destroy it, before it can be completed.

     With the specter of a nuclear armed Iran, a great crisis for the entire world looms on the horizon. One kind of conflict or another will engulf us --- nothing can turn it back. The only question is whether we can nip it in the bud using conventional means before it blossoms into a nuclear catastrophe. Indeed the damage and destruction can be minimized if the free peoples of the world march forward in full battle array and quickly to meet it head on.

     With the history of the Jews on the one hand (centered on the memory of the holocaust) and the stated desire of Iranian leaders to destroy Israel on the other, coupled with Iran's inexorable movement towards the acquisition of nuclear weapons, how would it be possible for Israel to NOT preemptively strike Iran's nuclear facilities? Clear your minds of foolish doubts. Unless Iran's totalitarian mullahs turn back from their quest for nuclear weapons, Israel will strike. Israel must strike. It is a matter of survival.

     What other nation has learned this lesson so well, that you cannot expect hearts filled to overflowing with hatred to exhibit any kind of moral restraint? The known and oft-expressed suicidal nature of the radical Islamic mindset makes quick action all the more important.

     On this issue, there is an important comparison to make. On the one hand, we observe that the Nazi's were not ideologically suicidal. Actually they were after the total survival of their own race. Still, they went out of their way to erase about 6 million Jews from the face of the earth. On the other hand, the Iranian totalitarian clerics are unambigously suicidal in their ideology. They preach a gospel which prepares their people to give up their lives for the destruction of Israel, in exchange for a guaranteed slot in paradise at the right hand of their (false) god. Put nuclear weapons into their hands, and they are certain to outdo the Nazi's in the total number of Jews they are able to kill and which they are determined to kill. They are capable of sacrificing whole Iranian cities for the chance to erase the Nation of Israel from the map.

     Let's be clear on another important point as well. Sanctions will never stop Iran's quest for nuclear weapons. Never. It is a matter of power. With nuclear weapons they will have the power to accomplish their goal of destroying Israel, and forcing the United States to back off. It is the path to an almost certain victory for them. And they will never give it up.

     President Bush himself does not believe in the workability of diplomacy and sanctions, nor does any level-headed member of the U.S. Military establishment, not to mention members of the Israeli National Security apparatus.

     If they don't believe in the workability of the diplomatic route and the sanctions program, why do they play the sanctions/diplomacy game? It is because, in the free world where you have these democracies in which drooling five-year olds (in terms of their strategic thinking capacities) are sitting at the table, and wielding power as representatives of the people, the sanctions and diplomacy game must be played for them. The idea is to get as many of these five-year olds to come to their senses as possible. Their political support will be required for any U.S. pre-emptive strike against Iran, or for the support of Israel in the aftermath of their preemptive strike, or for the support of necessary defensive action in the Strait of Hormuz to secure shipping channels in the aftermath of an Israeli strike. You will not get all of these strategic five-year olds to come on board with their support, but some of them will, when they see that sanctions and diplomacy, having been tried for an extended period of time, even over a period of years, did not work. The sanctions and diplomacy game will be played up to the very last minute, to get as many of these strategic five-year olds on board as possible. But when the point of no return is reached, when it becomes certain that Iran will have a nuclear weapon, Israel must strike to destroy that nuclear weapons program, just as Israel, if Israel existed in 1935, would have struck down Hitler's Third Reich before he had a chance to execute his ethnic cleansing program.

     If Israel cannot accomplish it alone, America must provide whatever assistance is required. The Iranian nuclear program must be destroyed. The lives of millions hang in the balance.

     As to Iran's threat, if attacked, to close down the Strait of Hormuz, and thus shut down 30-40% of the world's oil shipments, raising the price of oil to $200 a barrel overnight, I will ask you this. If they can bully you now, just think what they will be able to do when they have a nuclear weapon. I can assure you that the possession of nuclear weapons will not purify their hearts. Totalitarian thugs in clerical robes will remain totalitarian thugs in clerical robes, but with much greater power to force people to dance to their tune.

     Now, I think it is clear that the situation with Iran is a classical historical regurgitation ala the 1930's and 1940's, when the powers of evil were allowed to arm and expand without any opposition from the free peoples of the earth. I can assure you, that if you allow the totalitarian thugs of Iran to gain nuclear weapons, that within a few years, you will have millions dead on both sides. Millions of Israelis will have died, who could have been saved by brave and courageous action in the current moment. Millions of Iranians will have died, who could have been saved by brave and courageous action in the current moment.

     Don't you think that it is the desire of God our Father and his Servant Sons to forestall such a catastrophe? Of course it is.

     If only the free world had stood up to Hitler at the early stages. If only our forefathers had stood up tens of millions of lives would have been saved. Why didn't they stand up? It was because they were intimidated. The people of the free world feared conflict. And war came upon them anyway, and the losses overall were in the tens of millions of people. The stakes are much higher today as rogue regimes are able to wield nuclear weapons.

     You don't shrink and retreat in the face of these intimidations. History has proven the folly of that. Every moment spent in delay and hesitation will increase the damage and destruction that will accompany the inevitable confrontation. Deal with the situation now, and millions of lives will be saved on both sides.

     I would propose to you that the threats of these totalitarian thugs prove beyond a shadow of doubt that they are irrational, that they are driven by emotional mechanisms which normal people can never hope to understand. And in this lies the danger of having nuclear weapons in their hands. Obviously, they live in an Alice in Wonderland world, where they cannot even evaluate their own best strategic interests. For example, if you are going to build yourself a nuclear arsenal, do it quietly, and don't make international waves by threatening the destruction of other nations. They could have take the Pakistani approach as an example. But they did not. Why? How can anyone understand why? It is totally irrational. It makes no sense at all. Here's another example. Why threaten to close down the Strait of Hormuz, when such a threat would cause U.S. Military planners to pour all of their concentration into developing counter measures. It's like the Iranian Thugs were not paying attention to what happened to Saddam Hussein's military machine under a U.S. Air Assault. It's like they have totally forgotten about Stealth Fighters, and precision weapons, which can shut down their air defense systems in one or two sweeps, give U.S. Aircraft military air superiority in a short order, and allow for the complete and utter destruction of whatever offensive capabilities the Iranians might have, in terms of their missiles. Sure, they might be able to close the Strait for a few days. But it will be back open in a week, and the price of oil will settle back down. Don't they know that? They don't seem to know that. If they knew that, they would not goad their opponent into a position to do an even better job at it. Their words and actions force their opponents to get their game plan into the highest state of readiness possible. Their words and actions make it more likely that there opponents will enter the field with the greater and more decisive strength than would otherwise be the case if they just kept quiet. These are really very simple and fundamental considerations. The fact that they cannot get this right, tells you that something other than rationality is operating in their minds. And this speaks again to the very high danger of allowing them to have nuclear weapons.

     I believe that if one would apply the Master's Teaching on the Cosmic Clock to this situation, and analyze the operation of the 1/7/4/10 axis, you can see that high levels of hatred produce sharp and well defined visions in their minds eye, visions of the victorious destruction of their enemy, and these visions, even though they are in truth delusional, will become their gospel, and there is no entry point for any view that will rob them of the fulfillment of those visions. In a world of conventional weapons, this is a manageable situation. But in a world of nuclear weapons, it is not. They are far more likely to use a nuclear weapon than not, regardless of the consequences, because their minds do not register the consequences. The consequences do not factor in. The vision of their enemy's destruction is the only thing that factors in. Even if a U.S. President said publically, that any nuclear attack against Israel would be considered an attack against the U.S. and will draw a full retaliatory response from the U.S., they would never believe it.

     The conflict with Iran is now inevitable. It cannot be turned back. The only question is, when will the conflict come, and what level of destruction will accompany it?

     There is only one way to make sure that millions of people, in Israel, and in Iran, do not lose their lives under the barrage of a nuclear exchange. And that is to deny the Iranian mullahs access to nuclear weapons. And to do that now. That is the only way. Yes, the West will have to pay a price, there is no doubt about that. But it will be a tiny price to pay by comparison to the levels of damage and destruction that will enfold the middle east when the mullahs have nuclear weapons in their hands.

     Fred Dalton Thompson was a quitter. That is the emblem he will wear upon his forehead for all the years to come. Not much of an example of the American Can-Do Spirit. That's for sure. We placed the torch of our hopes in his hand, and he carried it for awhile, but when the going got tough, did the tough get going? No. He dropped our torch in the dust, and he went home.

     Stand Strong? Come again? He said to the people of South Carolina, Stand Strong! Stand Strong! Stand Strong! That's right, he said it three times, and then he QUITS? That's what he'll be remembered for. Not that he said Stand Strong once and quit. He said Stand Strong three times, and then he quit.

     And when he quit, he will also be remembered for the cold shoulder that he gave to the troops that he still had in the field. There was no public debriefing to help his troops process their disappointment. He turned his back on them too.

     A General leads his troops onto the battlefield, and he is the first one to surrender, and to skedaddle back to the comforting arms of his wife and home? leaving us on the battle field looking like so many fools for having supported him in the first place, for having followed him in the first place?

     Fred Thompson gave us the worst example of American virtue. Not the best. Even Huckabee outdid him in the simple virtue of determination. Look at how he's attracted our grudging admiration. He's stayed in there. And he fought to the very last. Though even he quit too soon in my estimation. Though to be sure, the only one left standing against the swamp monster John McCain. Indeed our worst nightmare having stepped out of our imagination's darkest pit of horror, and into the real world.

     And of course, in terms of shear staying power, look at the example given to the nation by Hillary Clinton, a Democrat no less. Surely, this is the more humiliating for Fred Thompson, when a woman can show she has a thousand times more staying power than a man.

     If anyone continues to build upon the foundation of Fred Thompson's example, they will only attract similar spineless losers to their cause. I admit it. I was a Fredhead, but I can see the truth now. He Failed us. He was no leader. He had no power to rally anybody. If the supporters of Fred Thompson are worried about being seen as fools, look no further than their continued association with Fred Dalton Thompson. If they are worried the more about being seen as fools, promote Fred Thompson for President in 2012! Hurrah, let's get this quitter to lead us again! You guys are so dense, that you don't even know that he has humiliated all of you in the eyes of the whole world.

     The name of Fred Thompson will enter the American language as a synonym for a quitter. Just like the name Benedict Arnold has been a tag for traitor since the very foundation of our Republic, so the name of Fred Thompson will become a timeless and universal tag for a quitter. A hundred years from now, you can hear the children on the playgrounds of America, when a teammate drags himself off the field, saying he just can't go on. Everyone will say with a unified voice, don't you pull a Fred Thompson on us, get back in there and fight! Never quit! Never quit! Never quit! Give it your all! Give it your all! Give it your all!

     I rebuke Fred Thompson for his spinelessness. I rebuke Fred Thompson for his lethargy. I rebuke Fred Thompson for his apathy. I rebuke Fred Thompson for being a slug in the mud, and for fooling all of us. Fool me once, shame shame shame on ME. Fool me twice .... Well, I won't be fooled twice.

     Why do we have a John McCain rising out of the dark waters of our worst nightmare to carry the torch of the Republican nomination? It is because Fred Thompson was a quitter. That's the reason. And no one will ever forget it.
