     In my review of some of Saint Germain's earlier Teachings given through the Messenger Guy Ballard of the I AM Movement, published in "Ascended Master Instruction" Volume 4 of the Saint Germain series, I came across this interesting statement in Discourse No. 21:

     The next thing to do, at least in terms of what I could conceive of at the time, would be to make the consciousness effort to connect our personal experience of God's Presence, into the Master's admonishment, so that we have before us a personal experiential reference point as to what he means by "The Mighty Presence of God". In order to achieve this divine fixation, we need to fix the reference point first. And this will take some effort on our part. As we must stop, and think, and remember, and then we must write down the connection scenario.

     This is what I jotted down in my pocket notebook at the time I came across this particular statement by the Master. And let me say, that I am assuming that this will have universal application for all Ascended Master students, for our inner experiences, have that universal quality which can be expressed in words that all students will have some relationship to.

     O God, my Dear Heavenly Father, my Dear Heavenly Mother, I AM THAT I AM, I would first say, that I wholeheartedly Accept and Cherish the Absolute Truth of Your Infinite Love for Me, as Your Beloved Child, as Your Beloved Child, as Your Beloved Child, affirming that I Am Your Beloved Child, that I have Always Been Your Beloved Child, and that I will Always Be Your Beloved Child, and that I Am Grateful to Be That, and then, as an essential prelude to this continuing process of seeking the all-important answer to the all-important question brought forward by Our Blessed Brother Saint Germain, I would, in the present moment, have You, my Dear Heavenly Father, my Dear Heavenly Mother, fan into an all-consuming conflagration of radiant recollection this fact, and it is a fact, that over the past several years, on more than a thousand occasions (and I am being conservative here) you have sent into my temple, sharing with me, your Beautiful, Beautiful, Beautiful, Presence of Light, of Peace, of Crystal Clarity, Giving me the opportunity, time and time again, to merge with the Deepest Well of Magical Stability and Bliss Supreme — O such an amazing treasury of astoundingly beautiful qualities, even many hallways of wonder, each glistening with happiness, and hope, and each paradise-like in every respect, have you blessed me with time and time again. And with every such kindness you have shown to me, have I not said, and sincerely so, while basking, as sunflowers do, in bright, dazzling, and life-giving sunlight, indeed, while gloriously immersed in the very midst of this awesome power of Divine Reality, that I desire to surrender all that I Am into this Most Blessed and Beautiful Presence? Indeed I have said exactly that, and more, for this Beautiful Presence you have shared with me so many times, my Dear Heavenly Father, my Dear Heavenly Mother, is truly the very Power of Everlasting Freedom, its value more than gold in any quantity. In the very midst of it I soar high above all the binding negativities of the human condition, out of their reach I Am and Free, with not but Your Beauty beneath my wings, as everlasting treasuries of freedom each one, to lift me ever higher. In this regard, I certainly Bow Deeply before the Wisdom of Memory, for Surely, these Gifts of Kindness, of Comfort, of Unquestionable Reassurance, represent the Central Strength, Anchor, and Support of my Life, my Soul. I would ask You to please help me fully comprehend the meaning of this important truth — a truth my Brother Saint Germain would have me more fully understand, and fix in my consciousness — that This Presence, Your Presence, this Mighty Presence of God in and about me, as he says, is the only Intelligence, Presence, and Power governing the Universe. What exactly does this mean for me? I ask You, my Dear Heavenly Father, my Dear Heavenly Mother, and my Blessed Brother Saint Germain, to please show me, to please make this very clear to me. (Fifth Draft - February 6, 2009)

     Perhaps some sincere students will not be able to put the number of these experiences given to them by God above the thousand mark. It doesn't matter. The number will surely rise to those levels if they stay with the path. But the actual number really doesn't matter. What matters is, getting to the heart of the right interpretation of these experiences at the earliest possible point. The person who has been given twenty of these experiences, who has come to an early and proper interpretation of those experiences, would be in a far better place than a person who has been given 10,000 of those experiences, who has not yet figured out what they really mean. If you get my drift. The idea the Master Saint Germain has in mind here, is to accelerate the process by which the student's sense of reality in this regard can coalesce into a tangible and usable factor of divine understanding within their minds at the earliest possible juncture on the path, and the Master Saint Germain stands ready to assist every student who makes this effort to "fix" these principles in the consciousness.

     I believe my statement is a useful formula that any student can adapt to this purpose. Just recollect the beautiful experience you have been given by God in the midst of your devotions, describe them in your own words, and substitute my words for your own if necessary. Then focus your attention on that statement every day, making the effort the Master is looking for, to connect your experiences of God, with this important principle, that that power, represents as he says, " ... the only Intelligence, Presence, and Power governing the Universe." That is the connection that he wants you to make, that is the connection upon which greater progress on the path can be surely built. And anyone who will make this effort every day, the Master Saint Germain will be there with you, helping you step by step to fully comprehend the meaning and scope of this connection, and to do so in a manner that will assist you in making greater strides towards the ultimate victory each day.

     Now, I am finally reminded, that the reason that supreme effort is required in this area, and the word supreme is not too strong a word in this context, is hinted it, like a chorus of trumpets, in the statement we find in the bible, "The Light Shown in the Darkness, and the Darkness Comprehended it Not." (John 1:5) Layers and layers of doubt and fear meet every divine experience we have. Surely, it is wonderful whenever the Beautiful Presence of God makes that awesome contact with our consciousness. But the question is, what do we do with it afterwards? The experience will always fade, and we are left with our doubt ridden psychology to process it. And that makes progress into the heart of our True Divine Identity sloooooow. And so, what the Master has presented us with here, is a formula by which we can more quickly transcend the accumulated ignorance of centuries, and come the more quickly into the center of the true understanding of the real implications associated with the Might Presence of God that we are actually experiencing.

     Therefore, take the treasury of experiences which the Masters have already given to you, put them into the context of the statement above, put it on one sheet of paper, using a big type size, using the title, "The Only Intelligence, Presence and Power governing the Universe", and review it every day, seeking the assistance of the Master Saint Germain thereby, to fly straight to the heart of real understanding as to just how close we really are to living (constantly) within the framework of that Divine Life designed by an All-Powerful God (our Father and Mother) and thus, to accessing the wide range of freedom from human limitations which this both implies and promises. Make the effort. And the Master will not let you down.

1/30/2009 Report:      On the day I published this blogger entry, I printed out my sheet, read it before going to bed, and again when I got up. In the reading process, I edited the copy, and I have entered the revisions above, and I have printed out a new copy. The revision referencing the wisdom of memory is quite pertinent, for making the effort to remember beautiful experiences (and the effort to try to understand their deepest meaning) is one of the most fruitful things we can do at any time.      Now, later in the day, in a rural setting, where the only thing around me was the sage brush and the hills (setting before my eyes the delightful evidence of the recent rains) at a moment when I was least expecting to have a point of additional understanding given on this point, I was given to see a great reservoir of divine power just behind the expression of the natural order, and that this great reservoir was there for our use.      The central principle was that of a great reservoir of power, like a vast deposit of underground oil which has just barely been tapped, and in our case has never really been drilled for, as we have been want to live off of that which sort of bubbles to the top, as was the case with the more ancient peoples who populated the earth (in terms of their use of naturally occurring crude oil). Our culture is about at that level of prehistoric development when it comes to discovering the vast reservoirs of divine power, and coming to an understanding of how to tap into them.      An additional principle inherent in this point of knowledge, is that there is inherant in the Divine Power that we personally have access to, the very same creative potential that exists wihtin the Divine Power from whence the natural order proceeds. This is true, because it is all One Power that derives from the Heart and Mind of the One God, our Father and Mother, the Father and Mother of both the cosmos, and every soul who inhabits it. This is something important to consider when we receive the blessings of this Divine Presence in the midst of our devotions.      As an addendum to my report, I would like to mention that, as I have noted above, that I have been reviewing the earliest teachings set forth by the Master Saint Germain, through the Messenger Guy Ballard, and I would characterize that teaching, specifically in volumes 3 and 4 of the series, as the most open and unapologetic exposition concerning the why and the how, when it comes to the access of this great reservoir of divine power by the Children of God. The way that Teaching is set forth, it is sort of like a puzzle that one must put together, and one can only put it together as one receives the inner keys as the soul makes progress towards the goal of reunion with God. And I will give you two of the keys so that the reader can get down to business a little bit faster.      First, all the Master has said about Love, all of it, every word of it, must be consciously gathered up, consolidated, to form the context and the framework for everything else that he says! Access to these monumental reservoirs of divine power is only possible within that context. If you are going to make the effort to read what the Master Saint Germain gave, determine at the onset to make the effort to bring that context and framework of love to every sentence in the teaching. In the first four books of the series, the Master does not say a lot about the subject of love. It is not like every page is filled with an exposition on that subject. His treatment of the subject of love is restrained, so what he says about it, you must remember it, and consciously carry it forward to serve as the framework of everything else that he says, as I noted. This effort will provide an internal chalice into which the Master can insert jewels of direct experience in this subject area.      Second, the Love that is the real key, is the Love that God has for YOU. It is NOT the love that you are supposed to have for other people. It is NOT even the love you are supposed to have for God. It is the Love that God has for You. That truth, realized, is the central spine of the Divine Identity that you are trying to put on. Without a realization of that Love, you will remain effectively spineless, that is to say, having no real divine support structure in your being. The soul must assimilate that love. The soul must come face to face with it, and learn to live again within that magnificent reality. Only from that perspective will you KNOW, not only how much God loves YOU, but also, you will KNOW, how much God loves every child. The importance of this cannot be exaggerated. Your ability to fulfill your responsibilities when it comes to loving other people, or even when it comes to loving God, depends on your ability to assimilate this central truth. How it is possible for anyone to think they can properly love another part of God's Life, when they themselves have their own backs turned upon the very sun-center of that Love which is meant for them personally? Perhaps this would constitute the root of all human delusion and hypocrisy too. It is absolutely impossible to comprehend how much God our Father and Mother love other people, if you do not first comprehend how much they Love You. Becoming as the little child, has much to do with naturally accepting and rejoicing in the love of the Divine Parents. This knowledge places the soul into a framework of understanding and illumined action that is naturally in harmony with the Will of God, and thus, once again the soul is found trustworthy to be given access to great power, as the soul will only use it to expand the purposes of God's Love, as this has become once again the central priority in its own life. It has become the most important and valuable thing. And so, when I capitalize the word KNOW, I am not talking about an intellectual abstraction. I am talking about an all consuming inner reality in which the soul rejoices, within which the soul is in a constant state of celebration. What is the soul celebrating? The soul is celebrating this beautiful situation in which it has become a true co-creative partner (once again) with the Beloved Heavenly Father and Mother. The same Father and Mother who rule over the entire cosmos. We have all been there before. At the deepest level, this is where every soul desires to return. This is the only Love that is actually Real to the Soul, into which the soul will leap without hesitation.      And besides, all divine functionality extends out of God's Love. That is worth thinking about. There is no other source of intelligent power that can animate life systems in a totally harmonious manner. Thus, Their Love, that of our Father and Mother, is the source of all healing. The quicker one can come into a state of acceptance of, and assimilation of this Love, the faster all things in your life will be healed.      Now, admittedly, these two keys are difficult to anchor. Why? Because the soul is enmeshed in the psychology of alienation. It is that simple. That psychology of alienation must be undone. But again, the undoing is not easy. It is hard to undo it. Why? Because the multitudinous factors of alienation strut around within the temple of man masquerading as wisdom. But, if you know where you are going, you can get there much faster! The shortest distance between two points is a straight line. A principle that I understand was one of Mark Prophet's favorites.

1/31/2009 Report:      After revising the above "Divine Fixation" statement yesterday, I printed out the new version sheet, read it before going to bed, and again when I got up. In the reading process, I edited the copy again, and I have entered the revisions above, and I have printed out a new copy. I have added links to text files to the first two drafts to enable anyone who might be interested to follow the line along which the original statement has expanded.      Furthermore, reading further along in "Ascended Master Instruction", Volume 4, of the Saint Germain series, I have found in a subsequent discourse additional comments by the Master that goes to further expanding upon the excerpt I quoted above, and upon which I have commented at some length. I would transcribe that here, beginning with a little poem. God alone is Great And hold within His Hands Eternal Grace. And as we stand strong and firm We will see God face to face.      A volume is really in these four lines. When it is said that "We see God face to face," it is an actual fact that hundreds of staunch ones have experienced; for the God governing the Universe is One and the same as your own Mighty Master God Self.      It is time that sincere Students should understand that their own Might God Self, ever pouring Its Energy into their use, is the "He" who created all Worlds and brought all Substance into form. I admit that this is a stupendous thought, but it is true; and they who will meditate upon this dimply yet Mighty Truth will find the Highest Door of their Consciousness opened, and they will be able to accept and utilize this Eternal Truth.      It is a mistatement that no one my look upon the Face of God and live; for I know hundreds of Students of the Light who have seen their own God-Presence with the same clearness and assurance with which you look upon each other in our outer experience. The God Self in you is the same God that is at the Heart, at the Helm of the Universe. The pity is that Students think or feel this too stupendous a Truth to be realized in their individual lives; but I assure you that according to the intensity with which they recognize this Truth, anyone with unwavering determination may see the Radiant Face of that Mighty "God Presence." These statements are neither myth nor imagination, but tremendous Truths that the Students can grasp, comprehend, and utlize with Everlasting Blessings in their outer experience. --- Saint Germain, Discourse No. 24, pp. 241-242, Ascended      Master Instruction, Volume 4 (Saint Germain series)      Now, in the course of reading further along in Saint Germain's "Ascended Master Instruction," the following idea came to me crystal clear. And I want to share it with you, as it further expands upon what I started to talk about concerning the keys, and what aspect of love represents the true key. What is it that could possibly bind you to God, if it is not an accurate sense of Their infinite love for you. For you.      When I say "Their" I am speaking about God our Father and Mother (I Am That I Am). They are after all the eternally united pair.      As you can see, if God our Father wanted to force his wayward Children to sit in his lap, and stay there to receive his kisses upon our brow, he certainly would have the power to do that. He could grab each one of us by the arm, lift us up, and plunk us down exactly where he wanted us. But that is not the way divine relationships work. Divine relationships are all based on love. This is the glue that holds relationships together. And it is the glue that is supposed to hold together the relationship between each child and the One Father and Mother.      And so, let us turn things right side up again. I ask you, how is it possible to love something you cannot see? It is impossible. And so, in our state of blindness, God does not expect us to have genuine love for him. And so, he says to us, let me show you who I am. And from these inner revelations he is surely confident that true love will grow. (And this growth process the Ascended Masters serve.) And one of the most important things he wants to show is, is how much He loves us. As this is the greatest gift that our Father and Mother have to offer.      Therefore, when you consider what your Birthright really is, this is it. Your Birthright is to know, once again, face to face, the Truth of God's Infinite Love for you. Everything else flows out of that Truth, as every flower, with multiple petals does testify. In other words, there is a center from which all things proceed, and this is the center.      Perhaps it is true that honey bees have something to say about that too. Their working life is spent in finding the center of every flower. They don't spend anytime bothering with the outer petals. They are always going for the center. What is it that could possibly bind you to God, if it is not an accurate sense of Their infinite love for you. For you.      How do we find our own way to the center of the flower that represents our Birthright? You must begin be invoking it every day. That's right, you must take the reins of your horse (your mind) and forcefully steer it up that exact path. You can be sure it will never wander in that direction by itself.      It is your right to know exactly how much God your Father and Mother Love You. This is the strong center of the Divine Identity. When you consider where Jesus Christ gets his strength, where El Morya gets his strength, where Saint Germain gets his strength, this is where all Ascended Masters, Angels, and Cosmic Beings get their strength.      I would just reiterate, that progress along this line is not fast, primarily because of the problem of the psychology of alienation with which the Children of God have become saddled. As noted above, this psychology of alienation must be undone, but I would ask you, what would be the most direct route towards the dismantling of that psychology of alienation? It would be to give direct daily calls for this Truth of God's Love for you personally to be revealed to you. Those calls would amount to a statement to this effect: "I DON"T WANT TO BE ALIENATED FROM MY FATHER AND MOTHER ANYMORE."

I do however get the sense that the text as it is will be pretty much impervious to any additional editing. Though I will not know that for sure until I read this draft before going to bed tonight, and upon awakening tomorrow morning.      This question came to me during the reading this early sunday morning: What does it add to one's sense of identity when you come to understand that your Father and Mother are the administrators of the entire cosmos? I would think this would be at least a million times more stupendous than if you woke up one day to find that your father and mother were the administrators of the State of California for example. Of course, God your Father and Mother are that too. When you sit down at the dinner table with them for some casual conversation, wondering what their day was like, surely we must be prepared to be dazzled out of our very eyeballs. How can the thimble of our current mind contain their passionate description and explanation of everything important that they did on this one day?

     I have added some additional commentary to the entry directly below regarding the music of the Taize Community, additional comments having to do with spiritual paths. An interesting opportunity to consider how the Pure Love Radiated to Devoted Souls by Ministering Servants (Ascended Masters and Angels - out of which their music is largely fashioned), must have, in addition, to accomplish the work of soul freedom, the element of illumination and understanding added to the mix, to help the soul understand what are the chains that still bind it to mortality, and what must be done to jettison those chains. Yes, the Love of God is a Great Magnet. But how can the soul free itself to be drawn by that magnetic force closer into the arms of God, if the soul is not aware of the chains that are wrapped around its ankles and staked into the bedrock of the earth itself, even by the forces of darkness who are committed to the proposition that no soul on earth will ever find its freedom again, if they have anything to say about it?

     Indeed, what progress can be made into the gushing waters of yonder oasis, indeed, how is immersion possible therein, if the desert travelers remain chained to large boulders in the searing distance? We love the water, the taste of it, and refreshing vitality of it, as angels bring us a cup here, and a cup there. And they are so kind and generous to do that for us. But how are we to be immersed in it ourselves, totally and completely, if we do not come to understand that which keeps us at a distance? If we do not gain this understanding to the degree necessary to act on it, and thus to act in the interest of our own freedom?

     These are some of the issues raised in more detail below.

     My thanks to the reader who forwarded me the link to samples of the beautiful music produced by the Taize Community. Their level of commitment in keeping their minds focused on the Love of God is well above the average, and the beauty of the music they produce reflects it. The harmony and blending of their voices, I think reflects their success in connecting into that Love (which I might add, God our Father and Mother have in great abundance for each one of us. O for us to see this shining truth face to face, and to bask in it, as clearly and as easily as we see the blazing sun in the sky and feel its warmth upon our skin.) Their music is certainly helpful in this regard.

     Moreover, it should be noted that the founder of this community, Brother Roger, as he was known, was dedicated to the unification of the various Christian factions (Protestant/Orthodox/Catholic) and this additional dimension of unity (even an additional increment of power in terms of the Will of God in this respect) is strongly expressed in their music, as a natural outgrowth of their overall quest for the unity of humanity through the soul's inner face-to-face contact with the Love of God, in the midst of which, of course, all outer divisions mean nothing.

     And there's the rub, and make no mistake. What is the path that can lead the soul to that face-to-face realization? All paths are certainly not equal in this regard.

     Sincere devotion by itself (setting aside the issue of understanding), if intense, and focused, invokes the love fires of ministering Masters and Angels. The question is, how does the soul get from that point, where it receives the impact of the Power of Love indirectly through the hearts of these largely unseen ministering servants, to the point where the soul will allow these Ascended Masters and Ministering Angels, to lead the soul through the steps required to transmute the psychology of alienation which has been built up layer upon layer over hundreds of lifetimes and thereby allow the soul to stand face-to-face with the very God who created us in the first place?

     The fallen angels have placed so many false doctrines as obstacles within Christian Theology, that it has become a dead-end in that regard. The mind that comes under the influence of the current state of this theology becomes in most cases fatally weighed down by many chains of falsehood. Like a white seagull having had a gallon of crude oil poured on its head. It can fly no more. Certainly the Masters and the angels come to minister to that grounded bird. Pat it on the head, in the most loving manner they do. But as far as getting the bird to understand what it must do to get its wings cleaned up, that is a difficult proposition when the theology itself has the bird thinking that its oil soaked condition is natural, and that it cannot expect any more. To fly as Jesus himself demonstrated? Clearly that is a ridiculous hope, and blasphemous too.

     The Taize Community, while it is Christian in its orientation, does not allow its Brothers to preach, but only to lead prayers, songs and devotions, and to read scriptural passages now and then. This has minimized, I think to a significant degree, the impact of the false doctrines which have so polluted the original teachings of Jesus Christ. For example, the focus on the Love of God chiefly, allows chief prior, Brother Alois, to say things like, that God lives in every man. And that God Loves every person on the earth! And that all the people on earth in reality form one large family. All of which is, of course, undeniably true. The step from there onto the path of Personal Christhood, where the soul seeks the personal realization of the truth that made that soul a Son or Daughter, at its creation, in the same way that Jesus Christ was made a Son of God at his creation, and not the only one, seems direct enough.

     If God loves Me, and I am His Child, why therefore am I not His Son, or His Daughter (as the case might be), in the same way that Jesus Christ is the Child of God, and his Son too? And if I am his Son, or His Daughter, why can't I see him face to face? Why does God hide his face from Me, if I Am his beloved Child? All perfectly valid questions for which Christian Theology (in its current state) has no answer.

     And so, there is much that stands in between the soul, and these essential and powerful truths, again that psychology of alienation, which must be undone, as one would unweave a thick blanket that stands in between the soul and the lightbulb of truth and reality. Because the very life of the soul is intertwined in these weavings, the blanket cannot be simply swept away. It must be unwoven thread by thread. And because the very life of the soul must be re-woven into the very substance of clarity itself which can transmit the truth to the soul, it cannot be re-woven in a day either. It must be rewoven thread by thread. The former must be consciously unwoven, thread by thread, and the latter, consciously re-woven, thread by thread, and you will find clear and accurate instructions for this process of unweaving of the Veil of Darkness (the psychological construct associated with mortality), and the re-weaving of the Tapestry of Light (the alternate psychological construct associated with Eternal Life in the Loving Arms of God) , only in the Teachings of the Ascended Masters which began to be released in the 1930's in the I AM Movement, and subsequently, in additional detail in the Teachings that came through the Summit Lighthouse from 1958 to 1997.

     Checking the Amazon.com MP3 download feature, I see that the Taize Community has been fairly prolific in their musical offerings. I see that 22 of the Taize Community (digital) albums are available to download, allowing you to hear a clip of every song on the album, and if you want you can download only the songs you want at 99 cents each.      Some people say that the flub in the Obama's Oath of Office ceremony was not his fault. But I disagree. Obama as smart as he is, knew what the right wording was ("faithfully execute"), and he stopped because he knew that Justice Robert's left out the word "faithfully", and so, right at that point of realization, he had an opportunity to say it right. And Robert's was even helpful, because Robert's corrected himself. After Justice Roberts corrected himself, you would think that Obama would then say it the right way. But he didn't do that. He went ahead and repeated the same mistake that Roberts had made the first time around, ignoring the correction..

     And that laid the foundaion for a bigger mistake.

     There was much talk about the invalidity of the oath, as it was not spoken by Obama the way it was supposed to have been spoken. What good is an oath if you don't say the words right? And so, Obama decided to do it again in the privacy of the Oval Office. And that is where he gave us another example of his good judgment. He decided not to let the press in to record the live event on video.

     Certainly, this was an error in judgment, because it leaves on the record, a video of the official ceremony with the flub in it, which people can play ad-infinitum, without a counterpoint showing him taking the oath properly. If he had allowed the event to be recorded, that would have given the media a choice of which oath video to run. By shear weight of mathematical probabilities, that would have reduced the playing of the flub video by a minimum of 50 percent over the next four years. But as it stands, the media has no choice now. If you want to SEE Obama take the oath of office, they have to run the flubbed ceremony.

     Indeed, for a person who is supposed to be YOU TUBE savy, his choice was to leave the YOU TUBE contributors with only one option, and that is to populate the service with the flub video only.

     If he is having trouble making right decisions on such a basic thing like this, I am thinking that the American people have been really bamboozled into believing that this person has good judgment. He sounds like he has good judgment, that is for sure. But his first actions tell a completely different story.

     These two mistakes are now on the record, and right smack dab in the very midst of his Oath of Office ceremony. He now how to wear this around his neck like the proverbial millstone. Who will ever forget it?

     Two fundamental mistakes branded upon the very beginning of his offical entry into the office. I think he made history there. Indeed, it will be part of every historical sketch of his presidency. A fitting beginning , I think, for the man who will lead the pro-abortion parade deeper into the abyss of national self-disintegration.

     President George W. Bush gave a fabulous speech at his homecoming rally held in the Midland, Texas, town square the afternoon of January 20, 2009. This speech was like a Thousand Watt light bulb compared to Obama's Inaugural Address (delivered earlier that day in Washington, D.C.), which I think many considered to be no brighter than a pocket penlight with a battery that had long ago run down.

     Obviously no nation can stand by and allow a hostile force to lob rockets into its population centers. A nation has a right to self-defense, and the Israeli Government is now exercising that right. As for the Palestinian civilian population, I do not have a drop of sympathy for them. Honestly, not a single drop. The people in Gaza, overwhelming cast their votes for Hamas which gave Hamas control of the Palestinian Parliament. Not only that. They supported the illegal takeover, by Hamas, of all administrative and police powers of the Palestinian Authority in Gaza, a naked power grab violently implemented. They could have stood and fought side by side with Fatah, but they did not. And so, they have made their bed, as the old saying goes, and now they must sleep in it.

     And so it is true, by their incessant Rocket Fire, Hamas has invited the Israeli Airforce and Army into Gaza. But let us understand why Israel took advantage of that invitation now. They are taking advantage of the invitation now, because the Israelis have concluded that the Iranian's are moving inexorably in the direction of nuclear weapon development, that they must strike those nuclear facilities for the sake of their own national survival, and they must do it soon, and that when they execute that strike, they must anticipate that Iran will activate its terrorists clients on both the southern and northern borders of Israel, putting them in the position of having to fight a two-front war, Hezbollah striking from Lebanon, and Hamas striking from Gaza.

     Regarding the Iranian nuclear threat, the official position of the Israeli, has been, thus far, that all options are on the table. But they have never said flat out, through any official government spokesman, that they would launch a strike against the Iranian Nuclear facilities. But that has now changed. Israel has given the world the warning that it will strike. Israel's highest representative in the United States, the official voice of the Israeli Government, has now said openly, that Israel will launch a strike against the Iranian Nuclear facilities.

     In a recent interview with the editors of Newsweek Magazine, the Israeli Ambassador to the United States, Sallai Meridor, a former intelligence officer, and Israel's ambassador to the U.S. since 2006, stated that their intelligence indicates that Iran will have enough nuclear material for its first nuclear weapon sometime in 2009, and that "Israel will take military action unless the United States and other allies step in."

     Therefore, the Iranian nuclear threat, and their response to it, is now at the very center of their future plans. They are ready to act, and their actions in all other areas must be seen a preparatory.

     And so, the Israeli push into Gaza at this time, is driven by the strategic imperative to eliminate one of the two obvious points of attack that will come when they strikes out at the Iranian Nuclear facilities. The rocket attacks by Hamas gave the Israelis the excuse to take them out now, and gave them a cover behind which they can fully mobilize their full military forces in advance of their strike on Iran, without making it too obvious what they are up to.

     The fighting in Gaza is clearly a step towards securing the border from the South, so that when they attack Iranian nuclear facilities, they will not have a two-front war on their hands.
