In response to my proposal that we require, as the primary qualification for the next Spiritual Leader of Church Universal and Triumphant, the demonstrated capacity to Walk On Water, and that we build a small lake (Lake WOW) at the Heart of the Inner Retreat, upon which that ability can be demonstrated to the gathered congregation, sincerely held doubts have been communicated to me concerning the question of whether the demonstration of such an ability would represent genuine evidence of Christ Attainment, and whether such a qualification would be one that the Ascended Masters would approve.

      The following statement made by the Ascended Lady Master Venus in 1977 would appear to go a long way to putting both of these doubts to rest:

I AM, then, the light of Venus and of evolutions whose measure of attainment is in weathering the storm of life. You see, the inner mastery of the heart has to do with the inner mastery of the desire body, for the flow of fire in the heart corresponds to the flow of water in the desire body.

When these energies are correctly harnessed, there is conformity to the life universal, the life triumphant, over the flow of the Buddha and the Mother and the figure-eight pattern, whereby the soul yet unascended may have the full use within the desire body of the momentum of the sea, using its mighty power to draw forth the sacred fire of the etheric body and to be a reflector and an injector of the currents of life in all planes of Matter.

I live, then, in the mastery of the flow. As Jesus consciously demonstrated the law of fire becoming water and water becoming fire by walking upon the water, so I come to teach you the way of the avatars that you might understand that it is at the point of the nexus of the heart, in the cosmic interval itself, that sacred fire is translated into waterpower.

      Generally speaking, the apex of attainment on the Path of Initiation sponsored by the Ascended Masters, consists of the mastery of the heart center. The soul who exhibits this mastery, has become so integrated with the purposes of God, and the Glory of God, that the consciousness is centered in, and resides within the energy center of the heart. And through that integration, the power of the heart center flows unimpeded through the consciousness of the soul, giving the soul mastery over all outer conditions.

      And therefore, it is very important to focus on this statement of the Master, "... I come to teach you the way of the avatars that you might understand that it is at the point of the nexus of the heart, in the cosmic interval itself, that sacred fire is translated into waterpower."

      It is clear from this statement, that this capacity to walk on water proceeds from a very well-defined point of attainment, that being access to the cosmic interval at the nexus of the heart. This represents a very high state of attainment on the Path of Initiation, because, as the Master points out, the person who exhibits the capacity to walk on water is classified as an "avatar" (as Jesus was).

      Therefore, the capacity to walk on water can only be taken as a sign of the kind of mastery of the heart center which indicates a condition of unity between the soul and the individual God Presence. (It is, in the final analysis, the overwhelming desire for reunion with the God Presence, that finally brings the soul into the heart center). And that this level of communion is exactly what we want in the next Spiritual Leader of Church Universal and Triumphant. Why? Because the individual God Presence represents an energy center of infinite love. And the word "infinite" should be focused on with great intensity here. And why is that important? It is important because, the infinite love that is poured out upon the individual soul, is also directed to all other parts of life. What does that mean? Out of that infinite love, flows an infinite desire for the victory of the individual soul. But also, out of that infinite love flows the infinite desire for victory of every other soul which this individual comes into contact with. Therefore, the ability to walk on water demonstrates the capacity of the soul to allow the purity of the God Presence to pour through its consciousness and provide it with mastery over all outer elements. And from this we can be assured that the purity of the God Presence, in terms of its infinite love for all life, and its infinite desire for the victory of all lifestreams, will pour through this leader, providing exactly the kind of leadership this organization needs to accelerate every lifestream into the matrix of its divine victory, accelerating the organization into the fullness of its role as the Good Shepherd sent by God to Lead the Nations into a Golden Age, thereby accelerating the planet into that very Golden Age which resides at this very moment within the mind of God as a very real possibility for the people of this planet.

      If anyone can think of a reason why this quotation by the Beloved Ascended Lady Master Venus should not be considered as another green light for the building of Lake WOW at the Heart of the Inner Retreat, please speak up, and make your case.
